28 October 2003 12:33 by Petteri "dRD" Pyyny | 3 comments

Nokia 7700 bundles digital TV into mobile phone World's largest mobile phone manufacturer, Finnish Nokia, released a new phone today in Nice, France, called Nokia 7700. Well, normally we don't do mobile phone news, but this one is pretty interesting in terms of digital video as well.

In addition of sporting 640x320 touchscreen, 65k colors, EDGE, 64MB internal memory, Symbian OS with Series 90 UI, FM radio, etc it has an ability, with an add-on, to receive DVB-H digital TV broadcasts. Phone also includes "Movie channel" concept, which delivers latest movie trailers on weekly basis to 7700.

Yeah, and I thought the device was going to be quite large but it´s actually quite handy.

I wonder if this is still a phone, or if we can start to talk about Nokia as one of the worlds largest PDA manufacturers as well?
