NASA World Wind v1.4.0 RC2

This is an old version of this software. You can also download v1.4.0 (latest stable version) or v1.4 RC5 (latest beta version).

NASA World Wind lets you zoom from satellite altitude into any place on Earth. Leveraging Landsat satellite imagery and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission data, World Wind lets you experience Earth terrain in visually rich 3D, just as if you were really there. Virtually visit any place in the world. Look across the Andes, into the Grand Canyon, over the Alps, or along the African Sahara.

It would have been nice if they warned you upfront that you need to download and install .NET 2.0, rather than during the installation. Can't comment on the software as I never got it installed.
