AfterDawn.com survey complete. Thanks! It's been quite a while since we last ran a user survey here at AfterDawn.com. Since then a lot has changed at the site. We would be interested in knowing more about how You use AfterDawn.
Taking the survey takes no more than two minutes of your time. If you've got the time to spare, we would appreciate your input!

Update: Based on feedback received we've updated some of the questions in the survey. If you found the options in the previous survey too limited, please have a look at the new one. If you already took the "old" survey, you can fill out the new one as well.

Update 2: We received over a thousand replies over the weekend. The survey, therefore, is completed.

Thank you very much to everyone who participated!

I took the survey and it wasn't that bad. All about advertising products and cars :) Pitty i dont drive :)

219.7.2007 01:55

I started to take the survey. One question INSISTED that I have choice from the list. Since I had no response to that question (from the allowed list), I quit the survey rather than lie.

same for me... I can´t answer a question with the options showed... had to quit...

I think that is pretty childsih but i understand that it might be quite big thing to someone... Please don't get mad :)

EDIT: My english might have some minor problems because I "live" at the other side of AD (Which is, of course, Finland).

Nice survey, but do you guys really have hardware downloads? You guys also forgot to mention the price in how much spent online a month 25-75, which is my usual spending. Also, add a feature so that we can know how many post we put in the safety valve.

Interesting survey.....for what it doesn't ask as much as it does.

For instance, how come it asked if I was likely to buy a Blu-ray player but not an HD DVD one?

1219.7.2007 17:26

As much time as I spent on this site, the least I could do was take the survey even if the questions seemed a little odd.

1319.7.2007 18:12

Short little thing. Took a mere minute or two.

Yeah, quite poorly put. The people who made the survey probably meant "hardware information", but had a brain fart while typing. =)

Another typo, I presume. The "HDTV Player" should say "HD DVD player".

I'll see if I can get the questions fixed.

Good point. I guess "None" should also be an option.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the survey so far!

I like IT :: Good LucK

What's wrong with hardware downloading? I managed to squeeze a USB thumbdrive thru a cable modem, came out a little bent, but if I buy a bigger cable hope to squeeze a 22" monitor thru it next month.

1720.7.2007 09:09

well it seems that they have redone some of the questions, thoes who quit should go back and retake it

1820.7.2007 09:22

its a marketing survey, simple. least you can do is fill it out honestly, it will just result in more money for afterdawn. i bet a LOT of you have gotten SO MUCH from afterdawn FOR FREE. the information i have gained from afterdawn has saved me thousands.

they added "none" in the mp3 player question. thats what i chose. ill probably buy a car before i buy an mp3 player. i gues the car could count as an mp3 player.

1920.7.2007 11:38

Similar issue....my favorite automobile is a Lexus....of course. But I completed the survey anyway.

2020.7.2007 12:31

Yes, I see that the question(s) have been updated. I took the survey and did NOT have to 'fake' my response(s).

interesting selection of questions.
I already have a mp3 player but it's not on the list. I don't intend buying another.. or a plasma tv, or any High Def video/tv equipment.
Cars.. stick em.. the biggest cause of global warming and pollution known to man!! I have no intention of buying one.. my favourite car is one that is in a scrapyard rusting away.

no questions about enviroment or ethical issues?.. purely greed and self interest driven, so typical of the world we live in.. "I don't care that 70% of the planet live in poverty and deprivation.. I've got a plasma tv!!".

I didn't have to lie to any questions, but I don't feel that I have been asked anything really relevant either, so it doesn't count.

2220.7.2007 20:33

to hard to find survey. sent me an email and after three clicks I quit looking.

2321.7.2007 06:08

Okay, you're right. We do get a lot of free info from this site. Anyone have any other DVD site links? In the past others were listed, Having to change computers around here totally screws my access to the web. Startover. Backup. Anyway, about the survey- what about the fact that I took a voluntary layoff for 2 months? Or that I'm just another production Migger? Or that I can only afford a Chevy cause they're cheap to work on. Would maybe want a different vehicle. Love my van though. Yeah I'm an old man underachiever. But learnt computers by myself. Can rebiuld 87% of my own vehicles too.

What's worse than an "I don't watch tv" snob? An "I don't own a car" snob.

Must be nice to live in a place where you have 24 hour public transit and no winter. Or maybe your ma drives you to your soccer games.

You own a computer. How did it get to where you could buy it? Santa Claus? If it wasn't for a dirty, old, diesel-smoking truck you wouldn't have food, clothes, medicine, or a roof, so please save your holier-than-thou preaching for your next PETA meeting.

2521.7.2007 17:13

Yeah! Trucks! Well any new trucks manufactured from now on will be following strict federal emissions laws. So less smoke. Honk. Honk. But it's true most everything is transported by truck. Like Iphones and Rios. GPS units. Oh, and Porsches. Yeah, when I drove, thought it would be the utmost to steal a load of Porsches.

Even those manufactured in China? or Russia? Doesn't matter. All internal combustion engines pollute.

People, including myself, who use this site probably own all kinds of toys and gadgets that they don't really need, therefore we all contribute to the pollution of the environment.

But how does owning an mp3 player and a computer make you ethically superior to someone who owns a plasma tv? (I don't have one, but I might, if I could afford it)

So if anyone wants to preach about greed and self interest, first buy yourself a mirror, sell your glass house, & then send the money to a street kid in Peru.

Dude, Calm friggen down. First of all, i'm sure afterdawn doesn't really care much about your favorite piece of cr*p car, or pollution and global warming, those things will get straightened up evenutally. and second, After dawn mostly give out information about things that involve gaming or electronics of that sort(and other importent categories, correct me if i'm wrong) And i'm pretty sure other people here agree, if not i jus made a huge a** of my self, Lmao
