Really? 100 bucks for a 32gb memory card? I can get a Sandisk class 6 32gb card for around 40 bucks. Websters should change the definition of proprietary to "a way to extort money from the masses".

The memory cards are gonna kill sales if anything does. The Vita will probably sell ok but would probably sell much better with internal storage. It won't take long for San Disk or some other company to come out with cheaper chips and that is probably when I will get my vita. I may even wait for the 2nd generation to come out. It will be cheaper and will have new features... like a memory card built in.

I can agree with you there but they wont be extorting anything if the consumer looks at this the way they looked at the PSP Go. That was a total flop and the PSN sales could certainly dwindle if these prices stay where they are.

Why are their people moaning about memory cards? it's no different to the current PSP systems.

The current PSP system at least came with a 32mb for game saves and with an emphasis on downloadable games and content for today's systems you would think Sony would want their software a little more accessible right out of the gate. And actually the current PSP has built in memory:

Seems like they are taking this device in the wrong direction... backwards. What Sony should do is disassemble all of those unsold PSP Go units and put that 16gb flash memory to good use by installing them into the Vitas.
