'Anonymous' hacker arrested after posting 'racy' photo of girlfriend Alleged 'Anonymous' hacker Higinio O. Ochoa has been arrested thanks to a "racy" photo posted by his girlfriend.
Ochoa, aka "w0rmer" of the affiliate Anon group "CabinCr3w," posted a picture on his Twitter page with a girl in a low-cut shirt holding a paper that reads "PwNd by w0rmer & CabinCr3w." The "pwned" part was in reference to Ochoa's involvement in a site that makes access to personal information on law enforcement officials.

The FBI took the image and checked the exchangeable image file format (EXIF data) that all digital cameras imprint onto an image. The EXIF data revealed information coming from an iPhone near Melbourne, Australia, which eventually led the FBI to Ochoa's Facebook page.

On March 20th, the FBI raided Ochoa's apartment and arrested him.

Says the FBI: "[He] created fake events on their online, posted images representing Anonymous and CabinCr3w, deleted the entire administrator accounts except the one created by the attacker."

I don't think his arrest had anything to do with the content of the photo...

Hope he dosent tell on the rest of them?

I think most of Anonymous members are individuals with no connection with each other. It's like you or me thinking we belong and do something on our own and then find out we don't really know all there is to know. If it was a collective society then someone with the technical skill would let them know the correct way to accomplish what this guy was doing. This guy was just being a jackass and got caught for his stupidity. Makes the rest of Anonymous look bad.

Nice little tidbit of info that CrApple meta tags your photos with all kinds of personal information.

I suppose that's fine if you have need for the reverse legal action to take place, but it most certainly bit his guy in the ass.

Personally, how retarded do you have to be to know NOT to take pictures of anything & use it as a taunting methodology? It always comes back in negative dividends.

Now he'll end up singing to the tune of a couple of other Anon pawns that mean nothing & the FBI (and other alphabet idiots) will sport a chub over nothing again; bloating their nuts over a job literally gone nowhere.

Oh, but the internet illiterates will buy into the notion they're safe from something they had nothing to fear in the first place & continue to sell their freedoms one 'right' at a time until it's too late.

It is one thing that the 'powers that be' scheme and plot to take away our freedom, but to simply aid and abet them is what the majority of the population is doing with their indifference as to what is taking place under their very noses.

Freedom and liberty is slowly but surely eroding because of those who will not fight to retain our rights.

Ben Franklin was right when he said, "We now have a Constitution, but we will have to fight to keep it."

Sadly, he is right because we are losing the will to fight.

already pulling through with the likes of facebook.... I read a joke online the other day that had a couple in the airport saying "take me where google can't find me" to the cashier... I think it should be replaced with the internet. It's disgusting how we have to be in the spotlight 24/7.

DNA scares me cause if they take everyones dna all the police will have to do is plant a hair at a crime scene and they can frame you.
the guys an idiot for leaving a digital finger print on the photo and getting tracked.

An 'Anonymous' hacker? This would be a kindergarden student because forgot the lesson all maternal stage hacker know:
Since the Exif tag contains information about the photo, it can pose a privacy issue. For example, a photo taken with a GPS-enabled camera can reveal the exact location it was taken, which is undesirable in some situations. By removing the Exif tag with software such as ExifTool before publishing, the photographer can avoid possible problems.

Thanks by the lesson Scully.

Which one?

What happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas, otherwise how did this guy get into... oh, wait... never mind. I had a buddy back before the Iron Curtain fell. He was working a detail of a similar nature.

Not quite as high on the food chain, but for a presidential candidate. Anyway, keeping it short, he was out drinking & happened into a mix which had a hot Russian broad in the mix. One thing led to another & out of everyone in the pick of the herd, he just had to bang her.

No international incident or crazy news broadcasts, he simply lost his security clearance for that detail & back to his unit he went. Which basically meant the end of any major military advancement as well, so buh-by to any career there.

If the guy you're talking about posted a 'shake-your-ass' video, he needs to be shot. Then he needs to be high-fived. But only in that order.

Stupidity can only be rewarded upon completion of disproportionate, universal balance has been dealt.
