Windows 8 now at 2.26 percent OS market share

According to NetApplications, Windows 8 continues to see modest growth, now accounting for 2.26 percent market share in the operating system world.
The figure reflects a 30 percent increase from December's number, which reflected a 57 percent increase from November.

Windows 7 remained the leader, although it saw a slight reduction to 44.48 percent.

Mac OS X, in all its iterations, accounts for 6.4 percent of the market, beating out the much-hated Vista at 5.24 percent.

The grandfather, Windows XP, still accounts for 39.5 percent share.
