Meta-owned, the world's most popular photo-focused social media service Instagram has changed its text-based logo.
The matter was announced by Instagram head Adam Mosseri in his Threads post.
User feedback was not exactly overwhelmingly positive, as many felt that the previous text logo, stylized with calligraphy, was better.
At the same time, the feedback also largely focused on issues for which Instagram has been criticized, such as drowning out friends' updates with posts from completely unknown users, and the collapse of engagement in recent years.
