Activision has acquired 'Candy Crush' maker King Digital Entertainment for $5.9 billion, letting large on the casual mobile gaming market.

King Digital, the gaming company behind the hit 'Candy Crush' series, has announced the acquisition of Z2, the maker of 'Metalstorm' and 'Battle Nations.'

As rumored, the popular mobile game Candy Crush Saga is now available for Windows Phone.

King Digital Entertainment, the casual gaming company behind the blockbuster Candy Crush Saga has had the worst IPO of 2014, falling 15.5 percent on its first day of being public.
