InterVideo, Inc. and Hauppauge announced the availability of a new product bundle to view and record TV on a PC. The WinDVR (InterVideo software) and WinTV-USB (Hauppauge hardware) bundle gives users high-quality digital recording of favorite shows plus the ability to pause, instant replay and skip commercials on live TV.
"The combination of the Hauppauge WinTV-USB and InterVideo’s WinDVR is a great solution for watching and recording TV on desktop and laptop PC’s" said Ken Plotkin, CEO of Hauppauge. "This combination will make a great Digital VCR for Windows users."
The WinDVR/WinTV-USB bundle is an external device with a 125 channel cable-ready TV tuner with software features usually only seen on high-end television sets, like previewing 16 channels at once. The bundle lets users Record TV to a hard drive as high quality digital (MPEG) files or even to watch TV while working with its resizable TV window. The WinDVR/WinTV-USB bundle offers a variety of other multimedia functions such as the ability to snap and print screen shots of TV and movies, compatibility with Internet videoconferencing applications like Microsoft's NetMeeting and recording of video clips from a TV, VCR or camcorder to create your own high-impact presentations.

The WinDVR/WinTV-USB contains everything a user needs to get started watching and recording TV on a PC -- no other hardware or software is needed.
