To my knowledge, Sony hasn't announced any specific titles, as the system's release is still a little off in the distance, but decent guesses for the PS3 that can easily top any Halo IMO would be:

Back to reality and as I said before, Microsoft has some tough competition to contend with. Don't confuse Sony's "slowness" with their attention to detail. It's better to spend three years on something and have it be worth buying than to spend three months on it and have it blow up in your face.

Check the market figures again. All the systems above that I previously mentioned have at least one game (usually several) that has beaten Halo 2 in sales. Also, I can't say the Xbox doesn't have any good games - it does; I was imitating your brilliant post that was written before mine, in an effort to show how unrealistic and pointless the argument was. Not wanting to get into an argument about which game is the best, I will say this...Everyone has their opinion about it because NO GAME HAS EVER BEEN THE BEST FOR LONG. I will say Halo was a great game Halo 2 not so much, the fact is that your argument is ONLY HALO and i just dont think that will make it fly into every home. I love Final Fantasy and other RPG's and the fact that of the handful on the Xbox only 2 or 3 didnt suck makes me think twice. Resident Evil remakes and 4 made me buy a Gamecube but that was SEVERAL games not one. I used to joke around early on when i got the Xbox saying i bought Halo for 350 and got an Xbox for free but it was a joke there were some older games i wanted to play and i got them because there were enough titles for me to warrent it. As i said before 360 will make alot of ground but will not pass sony the only way that would happen is if Sony just stopped making systems and games right now. Thats just Logic talking not fanboi crap that drives me nutts. come the Generation after this Who the heck knows Xbox may rule. I will own both the 360 and the PS3 because i like games and the handful of titles that are exclusive warrent that i do so. But its several titles not one. I can truthfully say that no one game has ever made me buy a system it takes at least 4-5 to get me to drop the cash with the exception of the psp (traveling with it was the draw)

I respect your opinion about Halo 2. It is a great game no doubt though it did not appeal to me as much as the hype. Jason you talk about how many copies Halo 2 sold. Well we all know mistakes can happen so would you mind finding some current numbers so that we can rule out whether or not Halo sold more than some other games that have been released. I am not sure myself. Have any of you ever heard of the official Spike tv video game awards???? It was its second year in 2005. It is the biggest video game awards event hosted by Spike tv that uses votes from the world to select what we think as the best games in diff categories and on diff consoles. Halo 2 won best game on the xbox but it did not win game of the year on any platform. GTA SA won that award. Now i still know you have you right to your opinion but i just wanted to let you know who won the crown. The Spike awards show is the oscars and grammies of video gaming. All the biggest celebrities were there hosting and performing onstage. MGS 3 was also a candidate for game of the year and there might have been a few other ps2 games but no other xbox games but halo 2.

No apology is necessary - I get a little excited about my point of view from time-to-time too (as I probably did here, and if so, I'm the one who owes everyone an apology). A note on that link though - it did say Halo 2 broke the records for money earned on the first day, but not necessarily games sold overall. There's no doubt in my mind that the Xbox 360 and its accompanying games will bring in loads of money to Microsoft. It's still my guess that the competition will be more successful, though. Only time will tell.

It's obvious the consumer as a whole picked up HALO 2 instead of GTA or FF, so it really doesn't matter what anybody says about that.

K look all I can say is if you perfer fps games stick with xbox if you like rpgs stick with playstation if you like old school games such as zelda then stick with nintendo every system has there pros & cons it just depends on what you like to play for example I like fps so I'm getting 360, my older brother likes rpgs so he's most likely to get ps3, and my little brother likes just about any thing you put in front of him to play but besides that he likes old school stuff so he's most likely to be the one to buy the Rev.

truely I don't think sony's all that bad it's apple i don't like because I baught a ipod and it worked like shit a month after I got it the hard drive was crupt so I dumped it and dumped it over and over agian till I got sick of it then I sent it to apple got money back baught a creative zen 40 gig and saved 150$ on getting it instead of 40 gig ipod.

mabey one of you guys knows, I was wondering will the Wireless controller charger come with the 399 set or is that something you will have to get seperately. I know the dvd remote actually comes in the box which is sweet but i want to know if i have to budget the extra for the charger for the wireless.

Ya it kinda sux but yes. The Play & Charge kit youll have to buy separately from the system. But hey, at least ur controller wont dye out on u during a game.

Thanks for the info Jason8, it does kinda suck but the fact that you have that option is really cool when i heard about the recharge pack i was really excited it saves on having to guy batteries all the damn time which is great. I really dont see the use though in the 299 set for a 100 bones more you get so much more.

ya 399 deal is for the real gamers, and the 299 deal is like for parents to buy their 7-13 year olds for Christmas. whatever you choose you r still buying xbox 360 and Thats COOL!!!!!!!!
