Don't give sony so much credit, they aren't being creative they are being careful. This release is anything but ambitious, it is slow and deliberate from a company who can't afford to make a mistake.Read up a little on sony the company is having a bad year ,their stock is losing value daily. The Ps23 could make or break sony , thats all nothing more.

Boh, im not much of a fan for Microsucks, and I am not a huge fan of Sony either. But, I must say I like Sony better.

Bill Gates Windows is tortureware, software that tortures the Hell out of people just to keep up with it. The Xbox isn't far from it, you have to pay to play online, its full of errors, and the games for the most part suck.

So here is the verdict, more than 500$, refuse to buy PS3. Less than 500$ will consider it.

The Xbox is just fine and I will take windows over the alternitive linux anyday.Sony makes some good products, all I am saying is don't put Ps3 on a pedastal just yet they have not shown us anything yet.Sony has done nothing but talk a good talk, in the end they had better do more than talk.Say what you will about Xbox 360 for better or worse it exists and is not a hype anymore,even with all the bugs at the start the 360 is a good system. Before you start yelling, let me finish...I regret paying $400 + $350 in extras I will not do it agin. The jury is still out on the Ps3 and all we know about the price is it is going to be very $$$$. I am going to sit this one out for awhile maybe a year, then I might buy.

I installed Suse linux on my PC and to be honest didn't find it very useful, the one thing it needed to be able to do (use a USB modem) it failed miserably at, so all it's good for is playing Super Tux. :D:D

I think the PS3's release is deliberately slow and careful, Sony can't afford to take any chances after seeing what happened when Microsoft did. Though I agree that generally microsoft stuff is poor (hardware and software, the only PC keyboard that's ever packed up was a microsoft one, how can a keyboard stop working of it's own accord? No coffee spills, no throwing out the window, none of that shinannigins, it just packed up!) including Office (well maybe not Photodraw, that does kind of rock), it's only poor because there's no damn good alternative, or wasn't.
Open office is supposed to be good, and we know there are good alternatives to photodraw, but PD2000 is actually good (Hmmm competition?)
With those words, I think we can see the root of the M$ conglomerate monopoly evil.

Sony better be good. Because the PS2's first release with unheard prices of 700$+ was ridiculous, more ridiculous then those who buy them at that price.

go,maybe its fine to the horde of casual zombie gamers that the industry is constantly dumbing down games for..but to most gamers that want games the Xbox is ok at best but it dose not cut it by itself!

the PS2 stands fine on its own for the most part,the Cube I feel is stuck between the PS2 and Xbox

BTW play any RPGs on the Xbox? I know it had 2 or 3 low end odd RPGs and solemnities thos can better better than A class stuff (FF8,FFX,FFX2).
Just asking I am planing to get a Xbox this year I know Ninja Gaiden Black and Halo 2 will be my first 2 games on it :3
