Ubergizmo Announces 'Uber 10' Coolest Affordable Gadgets

SAN FRANCISCO, October 31 /PRNewswire/ --

- Apple iPhone, Sony Cybershot Top List of Useful and Fun Gadgets under
US$400

Ubergizmo, one of the leading gadget blog websites, has announced the
winners of its first "Uber 10: Ten Gadgets You Can Actually Afford" awards.
The gadgets, selected by Ubergizmo co-founders Hubert Nguyen and Eliane
Fiolet, are all priced at US$400 and under, making them accessible to many
gadget lovers.

"There are many cool gadgets on the market that are so expensive, or so
hard to find, most people will never have the enjoyment of owning them," says
Nguyen. "We intentionally chose gadgets you can actually go and buy without
breaking the bank. And not only are these gadgets affordable -- and perfect
for holiday gifts -- they're also the best of their kind."

Ubergizmo also has announced its "People's Choice" gadget award winner,
the Apple iPod Touch, selected by Ubergizmo readers.

The "Uber 10" Winners

Apple iPhone, 8GB (US$400): "People can't get enough of them," says
Nguyen. "The iPhone sets the bar higher for the whole industry. However, we
think it would be better with 3G."

Sony Cybershot camera (US$360): "The SLR model is the one you want to
keep for yourself, but the DSC T200 model is a perfect gift for your
friends," says Fiolet.

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (US$260): "Upgrade your graphics card if you want
smoother game play, or to make your computer run well, in general," says
Nguyen.

Samsung SC-X300 Camcorder (US$290): "This is a great camera for web
videos. We use it at Ubergizmo!" says Fiolet.

Mio C320 GPS (US$250): "The sexiest GPS interface at a great price," says
Nguyen.

Nintendo Wii (US$230): "It's so cheap, you should get one just to see
what's in the box," says Fiolet.

Seagate Freeagent 500GB (US$180): "A great-looking hard drive -- and
500GB is the sweet value spot," says Nguyen.

iPod Nano Video 4GB (US$140): "All iPods sound the same, but this one has
the best bang for the buck," says Fiolet.

Harman Kardon SoundSticks II Speakers (US$115): "They look so cool, you
forget they're speakers. I decorate my office with them," says Nguyen.

Logitech VX Mouse (US$50): "We've noticed that in many cafes, people have
great laptops and crappy mice," says Fiolet. "This mouse is a great gift for
your favorite cafe habitue."

"People's Choice" Winner:

iPod Touch (US$299): "It's the MP3 player that also could be a great PDA,
assuming you can deal with cracking the screen every couple of weeks," says
Nguyen.
