DUBLIN, November 29 /PRNewswire/ --
- Norkom Wins Best Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Product in Banking
Technology's Readers' Choice Awards
Norkom has been named "best AML solution" for the financial services
industry at Banking Technology's inaugural Readers' Choice Awards. Norkom
was selected based on its share of votes from among Banking Technology's
11,000 strong global readership.
Paul Kerley, Norkom's CEO, comments: "We're particularly proud because
this accolade comes directly from the financial service community -
individuals that are working everyday at the coalface to protect their
organisations and customers. We believe this success reflects widespread
industry support for our approach, which has been to raise the game in
financial crime management by addressing the money laundering challenge
within the context of an overall financial crime and compliance strategy that
can be applied across the enterprise to tackle all kinds of financial crime."
The award was presented to Norkom during a ceremony at London's Grosvenor
House Hotel on Thursday 22 November 2007.
Reflecting on Norkom's success Banking Technology's editor, David
Bannister, said: "The important thing about the Readers' Choice awards is
that we ourselves made no suggestions or recommendations - that means winners
like Norkom can be sure they were actively voted for by the financial
services community. With almost 1,000 votes cast, Norkom can be confident
they have a solid level of support in the market."
The Banking Technology Readers' Choice Awards have been created to
recognise the fact that financial institutions are increasingly looking to
independent software providers in search of solutions to a range of issues
that would once have meant an expensive bespoke requirement. This year, for
the first time, readers were asked to vote for the best solutions in a range
of categories, including AML.
"Our winners can be justifiably proud that their products and services
are known and recognised in the wider market," says David Bannister. "I
congratulate them all."
