BuscaPe Launches Store Locating Service

SAO PAULO, Brazil, September 7 /PRNewswire/ --

- BuscaPe Local lists stores and service providers on a map, adding
another differential to the search

BuscaPe (http://www.buscape.com.br), the largest site for price
comparison in Latin America, announces the launch of BuscaPe Local, a service
for locating stores and service providers offline that are listed in
searches. The process is simple: when the user enters a search, whether for a
product or service, the results, arranged by price, are also displayed on a
map of Brazil, altogether and indicated by region. One can also filter
searches by city, and even have the closest stores displayed in relation to
specific addresses.

"We are adding yet another differential to BuscaPe's services. In
addition to helping internauts, this is also a benefit for small and
medium-sized businesses all over Brazil because it enhances their
visibility," says Romero Rodrigues, CEO of BuscaPe. For Rodrigues, the
service does not slow down online purchasing, but expedites and facilitates
searching for offline purchases, which are still made in large numbers by
internauts.

Access to the new platform is provided on the actual results page,
through the "See it on the map" link. The service is available both in the
satellite version and street map, which provides locations. On the same page
it is also possible to display the address and phone number for each store.

Similar to services offered in the United States by Google Maps, Yahoo
Local and MSN Live Local Search, BuscaPe Local is a pioneering initiative in
a Brazilian search site. It affords internauts more practicality and
convenience when on-line purchases are not enough, as often happens in the
case of services where deals are frequently concluded in person or by phone.

In the United States, local searching is a major up-and-coming trend.
According to Bank of America, investment in on-line local advertising will
increase from the US$ 3.4 billion in 2007 to US$ 12.3 billion in 2010.
