Travelzoo UK Reaches One Million Subscriber Milestone

LONDON, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Travelzoo (NASDAQ: TZOO), a global Internet media company, announced
today that it has achieved a pivotal milestone of more than one million
unduplicated subscribers to its UK publications, including the Travelzoo Top
20(TM) and Newsflash(TM). This represents an increase of 29% or 230,000 new
subscribers in the last 12 months.

Clicks to the Travelzoo Top 20(TM) newsletter indicate that
subscriber interest has increased significantly. For the first six months of
2008, average weekly clicks were 340,733, up from 243,158 for the first six
months of 2007. This represents an increase of 39%, ten percentage points
above the rate at which new subscribers were added.

Results of Travelzoo's June 2008 subscriber survey uncover
additional positive trends in UK subscriber activity. For instance, 36% of
subscribers say they booked a travel offer featured in the Travelzoo Top 20
newsletter during the 12 months ending May 31, 2008, up from 18% when
compared to the same survey in 2006.* A further 22.5% of subscribers reported
that while they did not book the exact offer featured in the Travelzoo Top 20
newsletter, they booked something else with the travel company promoted in
the newsletter. The survey also revealed that purchases were highly
incremental in nature. 50% of subscribers said that they had not decided on a
destination or dates before receiving the Travelzoo Top 20.

Travelzoo UK is attracting older and wealthier subscribers.
The percentage of subscribers over 55 is now 34%, up from 24% in 2006 and
subscriber households with incomes of GBP80,000+ increased from 6% to 11%. In
addition, 67% of Travelzoo UK subscribers expect to travel at least three
times for leisure over the next 12 months. Travelzoo subscribers revealed
that the US, Canada, Spain, France and Greece will be their top five
destinations in next 12 months.

Chris Loughlin, managing director for Travelzoo in Europe
commented, "We are delighted to achieve this milestone in the UK. With over
one million high-quality UK subscribers, Travelzoo is able to generate
significantly more incremental demand for travel advertisers. As the UK
economy has slowed, we have seen subscriber demand for special offers
increase. This is reflected in higher click-through rates and the increase in
subscribers who say they have booked an offer that they found in Travelzoo
Top 20 newsletter."
