LES Announces New Addition to Management Team


EUNICE, New Mexico, September 11 /PRNewswire/ --

Louisiana Energy Services (LES) President and CEO, Reinhard
Hinterreither, today announced the appointment of Gregory OD Smith as Chief
Operating Officer and Chief Nuclear Officer, effective September 15, 2007.

Most recently, Smith served as Senior Vice President for Ontario Power
Generation, Inc. where he was responsible for the permitting, planning,
execution and construction of four nuclear units at the Darlington Nuclear
Power Station as well as the refurbishment and relicensing of the eight
existing nuclear units at Darlington and Pickering Nuclear Stations. He
served as Senior Vice President for Darlington Nuclear from 2002 to 2006.
From 1976 to 2002, he held a number of executive positions within the U.S.
nuclear industry.

Smith is a graduate from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science
degree, Mississippi College with an MBA and Harvard's Advanced Management
Program. He currently serves as chairperson for the Indus Nuclear Executive
Leadership Council and is a speaker on the subject of Leadership for the
Institute of Nuclear Power Operations' Senior Nuclear Plant Manager Course.

LES is a U.S. limited partnership, 100% owned by Urenco, formed to
license, construct, and operate the National Enrichment Facility. The
National Enrichment Facility project will provide close to 300 fulltime and
contract jobs and more than 600 multi-year construction jobs in southeastern
New Mexico. It will use a proven technology that has operated safely in
Europe for 30 years.

When construction is complete, LES will operate the nation's most
advanced uranium enrichment facility and provide a secure domestic enrichment
supply source to U.S. nuclear energy companies.
