Make Work Pointless

- Businessman Launches Campaign to Ban Bullet Points and Give Work
More Wit

Businessman Jon Moon today launched a nationwide campaign to
ban bullet points from work. "We all use bullet points because we always
have, yet they don't work. They don't break up dull text. They are dull
text," he says. Jon, who advises companies on clarity in written and visual
communications, wants us to end our love affair with black dots and instead
use WiT (Words in Tables), his new way of showing information in reports and
slides. "WiT has three times more impact than bullets, and it does a
fantastic CV too," Jon continues.

WiT has already made influential friends. The Plain English
Campaign says: "Jon's new approach gives documents real clarity. It visually
lifts ideas from the page and gives work a clean, slick look." Michael Izza,
the CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
agrees: "WiT is stunningly simple, yet mould-breaking. You'll never look at a
bullet point the same way." Dominic Burke, CEO of FTSE 250 company JLT Group
plc, gives his backing: "Simple ideas can change business forever. WiT is one
such idea."

There's a growing following too. Jon's website
(http://www.jmoon.co.uk) has many free WiT templates for all types of
documents and people download them over 1,000 times a month. Malcolm Durham,
Chairman of part-time CFO company FD Solutions, says: "We use WiT when
presenting to clients and it dramatically improved what we thought was
unimproveable."

Jon claims that weaning yourself off bullets is quick and painless.
"Spend just 15 minutes on the Campaign page of my website, it has documents
redone as a WiT - a slide, a report, a CV, even a briefing paper for one of
Gordon Brown's Cabinet meetings. To detox fully takes an hour - check out my
book 'How to make an Impact' or my WiT online Course."

Alternatively, ease yourself off bullets gently by downloading
and playing "Bullet Bingo", Jon's version of the popular game "Buzzword
Bingo". And if that gets you into trouble, just download his CV template to
get another job. Jon says: "It's the most popular download. WiT not only
helps people do better work, it helps them find better work too."
