WAALWIJK, The Netherlands, May 12 /PRNewswire/ --     Prior to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, which will be held
tomorrow 14.00 hours at Hotel NH Waalwijk in Sprang-Capelle, the Management
Board of DOCDATA N.V. announces the following.

General

DOCDATA N.V. in Waalwijk closed the first quarter 2009 satisfactory. Both
the net profit and the operating profit have improved compared to the first
quarter 2008.

Revenue in the first quarter 2009, as expected, slightly decreased
compared to the first quarter 2008, predominantly as a result of the sale of
the replication activities of docdata media Ltd. (United Kingdom) at the end
of January 2009 and the sale of 4D upgrade GmbH (Germany) at the end of
November 2008. Without the revenue of these media activities, DOCDATA N.V.
revenue in the first quarter 2009 slightly increased compared to last year.

DOCDATA N.V. maintained the strong financial position and solvency during
the first quarter 2009. The cash surplus per 22 May 2009 is expected to be
sufficient to pay the dividend of EUR 0.30 in cash per outstanding share from
the funds available, after approval of the dividend proposal by the General
Meeting of Shareholders and deduction of withholding tax.

The activities of both lines of business of DOCDATA N.V., with the
exception of the media activities, are impacted relatively limited by the
negative economic conditions. The extent to which the deteriorating economy
will influence revenue and operating profit during the first and second
half-year 2009 cannot be estimated at this moment. DOCDATA N.V. will announce
the 2009 half-year results on Tuesday 28 July 2009.

Internet service company Docdata

The commerce, payments and fulfilment activities show significant growth
in the first quarter 2009, in terms of revenue and realised transaction
numbers compared to the first quarter 2008. The revenue level of the media
activities will, as expected, further decline in 2009 compared to last year.
The resulting impact on the operating profit however will be limited.

Technology company IAI industrial systems

IAI industrial systems did not deliver, in accordance with the planning,
any systems during the first quarter 2009. However, in the first quarter 2009
some new orders were won for several systems, resulting in further growth of
the order book of IAI industrial systems. The deliveries of systems currently
in the order book are scheduled predominantly for the second half-year 2009.
