Berlin-based company AVM will be present at Broadband World Forum
2007 in Berlin. It will be operating a stand and delivering expert lectures.
From October 8 to 11, 2007, network operators, providers, and manufacturers
will be exchanging views on the latest broadband technologies, services, and
applications at this high-caliber congress. AVM is one of the top two
providers of broadband devices with integrated DSL modems in Europe. In
Germany, Europe's largest market, it is the market leader. Experts from AVM
will be lecturing on the potential of broadband connections and the future of
broadband devices at the Broadband World Forum. At its stand (No. 8010), the
Berlin communication specialist will be presenting innovative solutions for
home networking, DECT Cat-iq and VoIP integration. In addition, visitors to
the AVM stands will be able to experience new Internet devices like FRITZ!
Mini and FRITZ! Media as well as the coming Residential Gateway FRITZ!Box Fon
WLAN 7270.

FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270 - the Communication Hub for Broadband Connections

AVM will be presenting its latest FRITZ!Box model at this year's
Broadband World Forum in Berlin. FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270 combines an ADSL and
VDSL modem, a WLAN router with the ultra-fast WLAN 11n standard, a DECT base
station for cordless telephones, and a media streaming client in a single
device. For DECT, AVM is using the latest CAT-iq standard, which offers
better voice quality with more bandwidth and opens up brand new applications.
This makes the new FRITZ!Box top model the communication hub for broadband
connections.

FRITZ! Mini and FRITZ! Media - New Internet Devices for Home Networking

AVM is constantly developing new solutions and products for broadband
connections. With FRITZ! Mini, the Berlin-based company is presenting a brand
new device class. FRITZ! Mini is a handset that is connected to the FRITZ!Box
over WLAN. This allows you to use Internet applications such as VoIP, web
radio, e-mail, and RSS feeds without even having to turn on your computer.
FRITZ! Mini plays back audio data from the Internet or a local network over
stereos, headphones, or loudspeaker systems. With FRITZ! Mini, you can make
phone calls over the Internet and regular land lines. Another member of the
FRITZ! product line is FRITZ! Media, a device that connects your television
or stereo to the Internet and your computer. FRITZ! Media is ideally suited
for services like video on demand, downloading and streaming music, as well
as IP-TV. For IP-TV, AVM is using the widespread DVB-IPI standard. This
standard offers major benefits compared to proprietary, vendor-specific IP-TV
solutions. The use of an open standard promotes the availability of devices
with innovative features which are compatible with a large number of services
at the same time.
