BIS and Global Crossing Finalise UK Agreement

LONDON, September 28 /PRNewswire/ -- BIS Ltd, a leading provider of datacentres and global networks
today announced that it had finalised a new strategic agreement with Global
Crossing.

The agreement cements a new, stronger relationship between the
companies.

"BIS has a number of customers who have historical serial
networks implemented around the UK. As their business requirements have
grown, many have wanted to replace these networks with Ethernet solutions,"
advised Samantha Keating, Sales Director at BIS. "Unfortunately, pricing
along with guaranteed diversity requirements has often been an impediment to
change. The new GC agreement removes these barriers."

Global Crossing has installed resilient aggregation Ethernet
bearers into multiple BIS data centres. This will enable BIS to provision
redundant Ethernet services for their customers. Further, services will be
delivered from the customer's premises, via resilient Global Crossing Points
of Presence (POPs), into their robust MPLS backbone. With extensive network
coverage throughout the UK, Global Crossing's reach is second to none.

Derek Lister, Senior VP Carrier Sales, at Global Crossing
stated, "We view this as a fantastic opportunity to rapidly build traction
with BIS and their customers. Working together, we will be able to offer
competitively priced solutions whilst also delivering the high availability
that is required." "We're very excited about this agreement, and look forward
to a successful and profitable relationship."
