SUPER v2008 Build 25

This is an old version of this software. You can also download v2008 Build 30 (latest stable version).

SUPER. Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer. A GUI to ffmpeg, mencoder, mplayer, x264, ffmpeg2theora & the theora/vorbis RealProducer plugIn.

If you need a simple, yet very efficient tool to convert (encode) or play any Multimedia file, without reading manuals or spending long hours training, then SUPER is all you need. It is a Multimedia Encoder and a Multimedia Player, easy-to-use with 1 simple click.

SUPER supports a wide variety of input/source file format to play or encode (to & from) without any additional third party software:
Video format: 3gp/3g2(Nokia,Siemens,Sony,Ericsson) asf, avi (DivX,H263,H263+,H264,Xvid,MPEG4,MSmpeg4 etc..), fli, flc, flv (used in Flash), mpg (Mpeg I,Mpeg II), mov(H263,H263+,H264,MPEG4 etc..), mp4(H263,H263+,H264,MPEG4), ogg, qt, rm, str (Play Station), swf (Flash), viv, vob, wmv
Audio format: ac3, amr, mp2, mp3, mp4, ogg, ra, wma
AviSynth Script Files: avs. ALL Input/source files that fail to encode, will be encoded without error when using AviSynth scripts.

I use this software all the time, you just have to fine tune the settings for what you want...trial and error mostly and you can save your settings as well. Though it lacks some features you cannot complain, it's free and works very well.

Sorry folks, I rated "SUPER" very poor since I can NOT even install it on my Brother's desktop. It seems for SUPER to be installed AT ALL ... you have to be the Admin on that computer. So, my question to Author of the SUPER is why make a software freeware and then make it not to install as a regular User and not necessarily as Admin. May be they are trying ti siphon info from your computer. Anyway, after trying to run "SUPER 2008 Build 30" ... my other Stable version "SUPER 2007 Build 23" won't run ... and gives me "103 I/O Error" ... whatever that is supposed to mean. So, if a freeware is so smart to even CRASH your other working version ... in my book it is not a freeware and more like a "Spyware". And if the Author of "SUPER" is such nice people ... why not make this GUI "Portablish" ... meaning you can run it independantly ... even off of a Jump Stick. G!

not bad. I've tested other free and commercial apps and apart from a few odd audio/video synch issues, it worked OK for me. Other apps worth Mentioning : MediaC0der and ConvertHQ (neat & simple).

Ok, thats not right!!! Im getting erratic output sizes. Sizes that are not logical at all. See, Since the program doesnt have a bitrate calc, I was trying to figure a way to use the standard windows calc. Slight bumps in bitrate output caused a huge increase in output size. Anyhelp much appreciated.
