Media Player Classic v6.4.9.1 (20071206) Beta

This is an old version of this software. You can also download v6.4.9.1 (20080127) (latest stable version) or v6.4.9.1 (20080414) (latest beta version).

Media Player Classic is an extremely light-weight media player for Windows. It looks just like the good-old Media Player v6.4, but has lots of nice extra features.

MPC has, for instance, a built in DVD player with real-time zoom, support for AVI subtitles, QuickTime and RealVideo support (requires QT and/or Real player), and lots more.

Definitely a great replacement for the huge and clumsy Microsoft Media Players.

This software is for Windows 2000/XP/Vista only! You can download Windows 9x version from here.

On the Secunia dot com website it seems there are still to vulnerabilities affecting MPC (which I use and love :-). Can you tell me if this very latest build corrects this or not ? Regards.

Media Player Classic is being used on my system in place of Windows Media Player. I had found two bugs in it.
1) It freezes for about 15 to 30 seconds when file menu is clicked while DVD movie in the drive.
2) It will only play the first part of the full 800MB CD movie for less than a minute when movie burned on CD with Mode 2 CD Maker. Windows Media Player plays the complete movie just fine.

Check to see if these problem does the same on your system. :)

This is a great Media Player that is very expandable. I don't know a codec that is incompatible with it.
