FLV Extract v1.2.0

This is an old version of this software. You can also download v1.3.0 (latest stable version).

FLV Extract can extract video and audio streams from FLV files without decompressing or recompressing. The video stream is saved into AVI-format and the audio is saved to MP3-format. Currently H.263/FLV1 and VP6/FLV4 are supported. Inorder to view the saved AVI-files, you need to hae the right decoders installed. We recommend that you try the latest FFDSHOW, if you dont' already have the needed components installed.

Note!: FLV Extract needs .NET Framework v2.0 to be installed.

check that last comment.... change possible malware to probable system disaster just noticed the crap needs dot net two a microsh!t program that brings my machine to a standstill every time I use Firefox instead of gatesware I have told the microsh!t update page to not consider installing it anymore (I have had to uninstall it a dozen times because most automatically download without asking... for not doing that, I upped my rating for the program... it didn't make me uninstall that crap again)

possible malware it flashes a system "dos" window for a second but nothing happens opening with 7-zip gets a folder and an exe (outside of folder) but running the exe gives error where it lays also error when run inside the folder (error both before and after moving exe file to folder)

One of the best .flv converters I've used. Incredibly precise, blazingly fast, doesn't decompress then re-compress again before producing the .avi, gives you the option for an additional separate mp3 file, and timecode file - essential for good editing. Unbelievably small footprint for such a powerhouse. Program does exactly what it's supposed to (and more) without superfluous options. And... it's free. Even if you decide not to use the prog. visit the homepage and look at this guy's work, genius !!
