Xbox 360 "Arcade" bundle coming to the US Although Microsoft has yet to officially announce it, retailers in the US have begun taking pre-orders for a new Xbox 360 "Arcade" bundle, set to hit retail shelves later this month.
The new bundle will include a Core system, a memory card, a wireless controller and five Xbox Live arcade titles including classics like "Pac-Man Championship Edition" and "Uno."

Both Toys R Us and Amazon have the bundle listed at $279.99 USD and Gamestop has removed all listings for the regular core system, suggesting that this new bundle will replace the current regular Core system.

the only thing that makes this any better is the wireless controller. A memory card is nice, but all my friends who have a 360 don't even own a memory card....so I don't know how useful it is. And if I remember correctly, the arcade games are pretty cheap anyway.

Well it doesnt matter how cheap the games are because this is FREE and at the same price point as the regular core system without any freebies :)

sounds pretty dumb but hey if you have money and are so dumb that you dont know what to do with it then go ahead.

its not dumb because of the fact the core system does not come with a hard drive so that memory card is vital!

anyone that buys this having the money to buy a premium it's dumb cuz you are gonna need the hard drive , but if have no money just get it and start playing :)

Well this wouldnt be so bad if they would simply make like 4 - 10gb cards for the core system then people would have enough space to do what they wanted rather then spending more money for the upgrade. I think that would be reasonable but i know somebody will gripe about the cost which is understandable. This is something M$ should have put in place when they initially started selling the core.

Just get rid of the core system... It's just as bad as the 20GB PS3. The wireless controller is just a means for you to go out and spend more money on a charger set, and memory cards are a thing of the past these days. Eventually you'll go out and buy that 20GB or even the 120GB(I don't know why)sooner or later.
