Sony adds more games to PS3 'Platinum' line Sony Europe has confirmed that four games will be added to the PS3 Platinum line, which sell for GBP 19.99 or less.
The games are Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Killzone 2, Resistance 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4, all of which sold minimum 400,000 units.

The official release date is not yet known, however October seems most likely. Many of the games already sell for close to the new MSRP.

Current 'Platinum' games are Assassin's Creed, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, all of which were top sellers.

Gi.biz notes that an Amazon UK listing shows Grand Theft Auto IV will also join the Platinum line soon and is already selling for £16.99 via preorder.

Yep, some great games in there. I'm not a FPS fan but surprisingly I enjoyed Resistance 2 quite a lot. MSG4 is also a great addition to the pack.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Killzone 2, Resistance 2........GTAV. these all already have a trophy list with a possible platinum. what do they mean by adding these to the platinum line? removing those impossible trophies?

facepalm.... no offense.

This article doesn't have anything to do with trophies. It has to do with those ugly red repackaged PS3 games known as the "Greatest Hits" in North America and maybe some other places, and "Platinum" in UK and other places. The Platinum theme is much better than the ugly red boxed Greatest Hits theme. Basically, it means the price of the game is dropped to $29.99 (19.99 GBP).

Well then, you must hate that the entire CASE is red... what a dumb choice for them to make :S

And sorry, I get kinda carried away sometimes.
