I'm an Apple fanboy through and through but this iPad was talked about around 3 years ago as the iPod Touch. So this is no suprise to me.
It's a nice concept but I will not be buying one of these.
I have the iPhone and a Macbook, along with a Sony eReader. So I don't see the need for the iPad to be in my collection at this time.

I can only see getting one of these for textbooks when I start college in the fall.

By then you should be able to get a slate, at least that will have multitasking (WTF apple...why not just use DOS?).

You can also get a kindle or a Nook for a lot less if all you want is books.
