Droid 3 now available for pre-order from Verizon Verizon has quietly added the Droid 3 to its catalog of smartphones, with the device now up for pre-order.
The phone will cost $200 with two-year contract.

Under the hood, the Droid 3 runs on a dual-core 1GHz processor, and Android 2.3 with Flash 10.3.

The Droid should be very popular among users requiring a full QWERTY keypad, and Motorola is boasting that the Droid 3 has "the word's thinnest full QWERTY."

Furthermore, the Droid 3 has a 4-inch 960x540 display, an 8MP full HD standard camera and VGA front-side camera, no LTE, and can be used globally as its a CDMA/GSM dual-phone.

Finally, the device has 16GB internal memory and can be expanded with a microSD.

They almost made it perfect. Why is there always one thing missing? This is pretty much a perfect device but no LTE :(

No!!!! Not another motoblur device!

Motoblur is also killing his phone. Its is slow. There's only one reason my HTC thunderbolt (single core) is slightly faster than every dual core Motorola phone and that is Motoblur.

Motoblur would only be an issue for about an hour...then someone posts a cleaned firmware and it would be golden...other than lacking LTE.

Do you think they'll eventually offer it with LTE? My contract is up in november so who knows what else will be available by then, but I love the keyboard on my Droid and don't want to lose that...

Same here...lack of keyboard was why I didn't go to a smart phone until the droid came out. I am sure they will offer some kind of droid with a keyboard eventually. Verizon is a company that likes to cater to corporate customers, and corporate customers like physical keyboards. They also like to be able to use the phone from other countries...and the inclusion of the other bands is probably why they didn't have room for LTE.

Hopefully the Droid4 will be out by XMAS, with LTE, a keyboard, and at least 4GHZ split across 3-4 cores. All we can do is hope.

Hate to break that news, but they are not going to go from a dual core/1ghz to a quad/4ghz in a matter of a few months, it just isn't feasible to do so. People whom have inside info have already confirmed that isn't going to happen by December.
