No, Apple is not looking to purchase a stake in Twitter

No, Apple is not looking to purchase a stake in Twitter Despite several weeks of rumor that a deal was imminent, Reuters is reporting this weekend that Apple is not looking to take a stake in microblogging giant Twitter.
Earlier reports had claimed Apple was looking to invest hundreds of millions to take a minor stake in Twitter. Some reports said Apple had the discussions last year, while other claimed it was still ongoing.

Reuters says there are no current discussions, although they did not rule out past negotiations occurring.

Apple is not known for buying stakes in companies, preferring to buy them outright.

Twitter has 140 million users, and is valued at above $3 billion.

Nobody thought Disney would buy out ABC either & look what happened there. Don't dispel anything. Given Apple's almost cult-ish nature anything could happen. Facts are stranger than fiction.

I mean, wasn't there something of a rumor going around a month or two ago surrounding the Apple television & Disney's involvement?

What's ignorant about it? I presume you mean in regards to 1nsan3's statement...

Twitter IMO rhymes with shitter & is about the only good it's used for. I'm taking a shit... I drank a beer... I pissed myself...

Facetious, I know, but basically 'need to NOT know facts' about most nobodies on this planet, who should be trying harder at making themselves better people rather than wandering into traffic with their heads typing inane shit into their phones, supposedly reporting about this 'good life' when if that's all you're doing - is an outright lie.

Wrapping the service up into an equally 'twitter has saved lives' is an equal load of shit, as it has done nothing but add to the sensationalism of the already asinine biased news services who would know how to just 'report', but rather take the opinion of the toothless tornado alley asshole.

As others have said in the past, most people live uneventful lives. The world most certainly doesn't need to know about your conceited endeavors.
