Samsung preparing an iPad Mini challenger?

According to new reports, Samsung will unveil its challenger to the popular iPad Mini next month at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
The tablet will be an 8-inch version of the Galaxy Note. The iPad Mini is 7.9-inches, larger than rivals in the market like the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 which are just 7 inches.

More importantly, the Note 8.0 will be "cheap," most likely featuring a $199 price tag. Apple's tablet has a $329 price tag in its base model.

The Note 8.0 will run Jelly Bean and include the stylus seen in the larger Note tablets and the Note smartphones.

To some degree. If you are price conscious, then yes it would be fun. If Samsung makes Android updates quickly available when released, like Ios, then it will be a good battle.

There is already a nice 7inch Android Tablet from Google.

What is the point of having a 8inch one from Samsung?
