WineSpring Debuts Luxury Photo Safaris in South Africa
NAPA, California, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- WineSpring, a fine wines and luxury lifestyle company (http://www.winespring.com), is offering two 13-day group tours to South Africa for November 2007. In "South Africa in Luxury," the first of several WineSpring tours, upscale travelers will taste the finest of South African wines in opulent surroundings, and also connect with the awe-inspiring reality of nature on the African veld. WineSpring -- together with Cape Town-based luxury tour company Southern Destinations -- has designed an itinerary with an exclusive feature: Graphis award-winning wildlife photographer Alex Bernasconi (http://www.alexbernasconi.com) will assist guests in capturing the exotic and timeless quality of the African wilderness. Bernasconi joins the group on their six safari days during both tour dates (Nov. 4-16 and Nov. 16-28). The group, which is limited to eight guests, will take advantage of the rare opportunity to see a master photographer in action. Guests will learn invaluable tips from Bernasconi's mentoring, especially from viewing his ability to create a gentle sense of camaraderie with his animal subjects. Bernasconi, of Milan, Italy, said, "WineSpring has created this invaluable opportunity for me to share my love for capturing the world's masterpieces of nature in my photographs. It will be very stimulating to help a group of curious, worldly and educated travelers shoot photographs of South African animals and landscapes." In addition to safaris, the group will experience other moments of direct contact with nature: They will observe an African penguin colony, interact with baboons, and even pet a cheetah. Other unforgettable activities in "South Africa in Luxury" include ocean kayaking past whales, high tea at the colonial Mount Nelson Hotel, diamond viewing, and a tour into the spirit of the Cape Jazz music scene. And of course the Napa-based WineSpring would not overlook South Africa's wines. "South Africa in Luxury" uses WineSpring's insider industry connections to offer wine-tasting exclusives at prestigious wineries like Vilafonte, Raats and Lanzerac. The group will tour through the lush valleys of the Cape Winelands to several winery estates, and also dine in the home of Raats winemaker Bruwer Raats. Guests will indulge in gourmet cuisine ranging from French-Mediterranean to Western-influenced African. The five-star accommodations, such as the Cape Grace, Sabi Sabi Lodge, Londolozi camps, and Singita Ebony Lodge, boast reputations as some of the finest in the world. WineSpring CEO and Founder William Rosenberger stated, "We look forward to bringing the WineSpring signature touch to the very best in fine wine and luxury travel. Catering to the top tier of travelers worldwide, our bespoke trips will deliver superior experiences to both serious wine connoisseurs and the more casual wine lover." WineSpring will soon announce a luxury tour in Portugal with Port and Madeira expert Roy Hersh. The PDF brochures for "South Africa in Luxury" are available at http://www.winespring.com.
