BlueFinger Provides Powerboat P1 Timing

LONDON, October 2 /PRNewswire/ --

- The Maritime Division of Real-Time Vehicle Tracking Specialists Cybit
Provide a Full Boat and Buoy Tracking and Timing System for the Vigo Grand
Prix of the Sea

BlueFinger Ltd (http://www.bluefinger.com), the maritime division of
Cybit Holdings Plc - one of Europe's leading real-time vehicle tracking
and offshore telematics companies, was awarded a contract for the
Powerboat P1 (http://www.powerboatp1.com) championship during the Vigo Grand
Prix of the Sea in Spain to provide an innovative race management and
timing solution developed from BlueFinger's Saffire-online vessel tracking
solutions.

The P1 Vigo Grand Prix was the first time this technology had been
deployed in powerboat racing, and Bluefinger successfully took up this new
role.

The software tracks the position, direction and speed of every boat
competing in the Grand Prix plus the location of each of the turn buoys,
feeding data second-by-second to the race organisers and thousands of fans
watching the event on their computers at home via the Virtual Spectator
software.

Powerboat P1 Racing and Event Director Andy Hindley commented: "Being
able to accurately track the position of every boat in a Powerboat P1 race is
of huge importance for the event organisers, for both the safety of the
competitors and for the timing and regulating of events."

"In a tight race, with some dramatic close quarter racing, the use of
BlueFinger's telematics data meant we were able to apply the regulations
quickly and fairly. This included accurately measuring speed penalties and
occasions where competitors may have inadvertently missed a buoy - things
difficult to view over the whole course using cameras and the naked eye. From
a race management point of view, using BlueFinger's timing, tracking and data
monitoring added first-class control and an efficient results system to an
already great race."

Hindley continued: "It is also of huge benefit to the fans and media,
both in the marina and watching at home via Virtual Spectator. We're pleased
to welcome BlueFinger and Cybit into the championship and congratulate them
for the successful deployment of our new outstanding race system."

Richard Horsman, Chief Executive Officer or Cybit said: "We are delighted
to be working in partnership with such a prestigious championship which
continues to grow rapidly in popularity. Our ability to provide innovative
precise positioning solutions together with software capable of managing
accurate timing of short duration, high performance racing demonstrates the
versatility and breadth of our business. With Powerboat P1 we are providing
positioning data at one second intervals from powerboats moving at speeds of
up to 100mph."
