- Sylvain Larocque, economics journalist

On leaving the annual conference of the Newspaper Guild, the largest

Radio-Canada (SRC) was able to reveal the names of police officers in the
Villanueva case

- Lise Millette, ProjetJ

The Quebec press Council (CPQ) rejected the complaint made by the
Montreal Police Service (SPVM) against Radio Canada. The SPVM condemned the
identification of police officers, who were involved in the Freddy Villanueva
case in August 2008 during the broadcast of Enquête on 30 October 2008. The
officers claimed that this was an attack on their reputation and that such an
incident could have repercussions them. The CPQ concluded that the reasoning
of journalists differs from that of the police force.

or just instinct, she was at the forefront when Michael Jackson died and
became a special correspondent for various media. Things moved on quickly,
particularly due to Facebook. She tells us how her cover story broke, both
before and after the arrival of other media.
