Project Natal confirmed for October launch Rumored in the past, the Xbox 360 Project Natal motion-sensing camera has been confirmed for an October release, this time by Microsoft Saudi marketing manager Syed Bilal Tariq.
The official release date was expected to be unveiled at the E3 event next month.

GamertagRadio was interviewing the manager and asked when the device would hit Saudi Arabia. He responded that it would be available on the same day as the North American and EU launches.

Says Tariq: "It is going to be somewhere in October and we will be in a position to confirm the date at E3, which is in June, but definitely it is going to be October 2010."

Microsoft has always said an "autumn launch" was the time frame for the release but strayed away from an actual date.

Natal is still the codename for the device which is expected to have its final consumer name revealed at E3.

Soon xbox users will look just as silly as wii users...I wonder when sony will make an accessory that forces the player to make a fool of him/her self.

What is it with people being so afraid to "look silly"?.

If that worries you so much probably you already look silly for trying to hard to look "cool".

Love how the Natal vids show some skinny kid using it. I wonder how it will read the average tubby gamer's movements?

Also I bought the XBox because I hated those aspects of the Wii...sure some will like it though...
