Apple files new patent suit against HTC

Apple files new patent suit against HTC Apple has filed yet another complaint with the U.S. ITC, this time alleging more patent infringement from Taiwanese-based smartphone/tablet maker HTC.
The company initially filed a complaint against HTC last March, claiming they were infringing on 20 patents. HTC then counter-sued Apple, asking the ITC to halt all imports of iOS devices due to alleged patent infringement on 5 of HTC's own patents.

Says HTC of the new suit (via PCW):

HTC is dismayed that Apple has resorted to competition in the courts rather than the market place.

The company says it will fight all the past and present claims and defend their own patents.

Apple sold 17 million iPhones last quarter while HTC sold 9.8 million smartphones.

I may have mentioned this before, but I don't like Apple. They are so bloody greedy! Leave it alone already and enjoy your profits that you get from the suckers who buy your ipod crap (no offence anyone).

HTC makes the best phones out there
and if they would make a mp3 player
i would start a bon fire to burn
any ipod i could get my hand on

Once you remove MotoBlur, Motorola actually has better devices IMHO. If only they had LTE on the Droid 3...it would be the best phone on the market.

Wouldn't consider one with an encrypted bootloader.

I understand where you are coming from bc i had a moto droid before upgrading to a HTC Thunderbolt. I loved my droid with great battery life and it did whatever i asked it to but i didnot like the small narrow screen and motoblur that is laggy, laggy, laggy and no were near as smooth as IOS, or HTC Sense. Motoblur really is a nuisance as i have tested my single core Thunderbolt against dual core phones such as the Motorolla Atrix, Droid X2, and my single core beat them in just about every user test i ran when we are talking about raw speed. Motoblur seriously has some nice things going for it but needs a serious overhall. I am just use to a smooth user experience since i had an Iphone 3G years ago and HTC Sense is darn close to what i have become accustom to.

I do test a lot of roms, and i always come back to sense(sprint lovers rom) is just in a different level compared to others interface. btw widgets on sense should be available and standard to all, is that good!

All the add-on GUIs are crap; Android has an great interface right out of the gate. Sense and Motoblur just muck up Android. It is like if you bought a Windows 7 PC, and HP put a WebOS GUI over windows. This is actually one of Apple's biggest advantages over Android...they don't have 3rd party phone manufacturers adding pointless garbage to the iPhone.

I don't think there is anything great about it. It's good and will do but most would rather have Sense. The stock music player is garbage and the widgets need a lot of polishing. There is a big diff between good and great.

yea but thats because apple would never allow 3rd parties to touch/make thier devices so your argument is pointless....heck they don't even thier own users to touch the device lol.......plus apple lock their stuff down anyway.

on android phones.....there are alot of custom roms and you can even get a basic rom such as cyanogen. i use a sense rom and i love it, the basic interface for me is too simple and not enough for my needs, and everyone elses, which is where sense and motoblur comes in.

oh and as for buying a windows 7 PC. i rather have the choice in what i can and cannot do on my system, at least if they did put a WebOS GUI over windows, i at least can take it off......as i know i will have an option to do that.....not the same that goes for apple products.
