Apple sends invites for September 12th event It appears the rumors were true.
Apple has sent out invitations for an event on September 12th in San Francisco in which they are widely expected to unveil the latest iPhone.

The invite simply says "It's almost here" with a shadow number '5,' suggesting the new device will be called the iPhone 5.

Over the months, the device has seen all kinds of "leaks" and rumors, but only a few have stuck. The new phone is expected to have a larger 4-inch screen, a thinner frame, a quad-core processor, LTE support, and a new 8-pin dock connector.

The phone is expected to begin selling on the 21st.

Given the tenor of most of my comments toward the Apple production line within the confines of these forums, I believe I shan't be getting my invite.

However, given all the bad press I've delivered them, you'd think they'd reward me a bonus from glee given the 'nay sayers' showing up on their door steps out of sheer morbid curiosity to see whether I was right or not.

Just the volume to potential sales percentage alone probably reaped them a sale or two. Poor souls.

Flip over the invite and there probably is another one for September 17/12 to introduce the IPhone 5s. sucker edition.

REALLY??? We have to visit all this again? Stevie-boo-boo's whining & moaning from way back in the 80's at Bill gates about stealing software (that was never his to begin with [and boy doesn't that already sound like a broken record today]) to all the cultish, snake oil charming speeches he gave up until his recent death.

I mean he was voted a technological man of the (decade, eon, year, whatever,?) and he was nothing but a failed (college dropout) designer. I.e., he invented round edged boxes. There was actual tech "0", zero in his brain. He used & abused the most brilliant minds money never bought to make his fortune.

The list goes on, to which this forum would be of great help with a little applicable force of the Search feature actually. Some folks favor the man, but there is also a rather staunch 180 degree polar opposition of the man as well.

No emotion really... We've all held the cat that had its ass rubbed with turpentine over the last 30 years when it comes to the topic, that's all.

No harm no foul.
