Samsung to release low-end Galaxy Music phone next month?

According to multiple sources, Samsung is expected to launch their low-end Galaxy Music smartphone next month.
The device will feature a 3-inch QVGA (240x320-pixel) display, a single-core 850MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage a 3MP camera and somehow run on Android 4.0.

Additionally, the phone will have front-facing stereo speakers and include built-in music-based features.

Given the horrendous specs, and the fact that the phone will be dual-SIM capable, there is zero chance the phone will make it to the U.S. and is likely aimed at Latin America, emerging markets and some European markets, as well.

ooh this could be really good currently I'm using my Galaxy S as a wifi hotspot and a jukebox at work.

It stream spotify for 8+ hours a day over the week, and I wouldn't mind something more music based as the Galaxy S and S3 music to head phone output to a stereo is pretty crap at best it's far too low a stock iphone and the old Nokia phones smash it easy.

You have to use EQ programs to get the sound up high enough to be heard properly.

CPU and RAM is certainly enough to run ICS quite nicely - though possibly not with manufacturer-added clutter on top. While certainly no high-end device, the only thing really terrible in it seems to be the display.

Better specs than the old iphone 3GS... Plenty of people still use those without complaint, I don't see why this is so terrible...

I may be an 'idiot' but there are plenty of phones out there offered for FREE from the carriers with 2x-5x better specs than this. A single core at 850Mhz is, as posted, terrible. Also, comparing this to your feature phone from 2009 is not really a valid argument, sorry, it's almost 2013.

free with contract..lol..

not sure if sammy make 2x-5x faster phones however the one stated isn't one of those it is what is & you said it about comparing phones, the reviews for past low end sammys seem pretty good at 3stars & above

Can get an iphone 5 or a Galaxy S3 free with contract if you pay enough each month, that point is meaningless...
