Blizzard pushes back its "Project Titan" MMO

For the last three years, Blizzard has been rumored to be working on a new MMO dubbed "Project Titan." The game will be its own franchise independent of World of Warcraft, that is if it can ever be actually built.
According to Ars, the company is now cutting back on the project's team and starting all development again from scratch.

At this point the game is expected to launch in 2016.

This would be a serious let down, as Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said this in 2011 about the game: "Without giving away any details, we have some of our most experienced MMO developers, people who spent years working on the World of Warcraft team, working on this project."

Blizzard recently revealed that World of Warcraft players are down to 8 million from a peak of 12 million earlier in the decade.
