I pay $40 CAD for a HD2 running Android. Unlimited everything (besides roaming obviously). Blows this sh!t out of the water :P

Wow. That seems really high. $20 for unlimited texting? I guess I'm just used to being on prepaid and paying less than $20/month for voice, text and data.

$20 for texting...or email for free...hmmm...hard choice...

Way absurd. Data seems sort of in line, although I do not agree with it, but unlimited texts, come on were not in 2002 anymore V. I will be staying with Sprint and getting an Android. Hell, the sales rep at the Sprint store told me I can d/l an Android app and tether for free, it will be a little slower, but I save some serious $$$.

Yeah........this just strengthens my constant claim that Verizon is an absolute rip off. At&t isn't far behind that. I don't understand why anyone with any intelligence that actually thinks things through, would pay this exorbitant price for cell service.

I guess what I've always thought is true............bad decision making runs rampant.

Though I do have to say to 40 for EVERYTHING..........you're either F.O.S. or you're just getting an EXTRAORDINARY, unbeatable, never-before-heard-of price because even companies like Cricket offer unlimited everything here in the States for 55 but never 40.

Must be a typo, did you mean $140/month? I'm paying $45 CAD with Rogers and that includes nothing, just 150 min of voice. Please enlighten me as to where I can get "unlimited everything" in Canada, eh?

Verizon is horrible with their pricing. Just as bad as AT&T. $20 for unlimited texting? Texts cost these companies almost nothing. $20 more to use a feature that you can add on your own for free.

On T-Mobile I get unlimited data, minutes and tether for free and it's still less than the minimum Verizon iPhone plan.

Guess that's why they paid Apple to keep the iPhone from Sprint and T-Mobile for another year. Gives them more time to overcharge customers without having to compete.

I don't think I'll ever have a plan phone again. I have an samsung android 2.1 on virgin mobile. I pay 45 a month for 1200 mins (which I'll never get close to), unlimited texting and data, no roaming, and did I say android?
It might be 2.1, but it's really all I need. Oh, and the insurance is included on that price. I think it's the best deal for what I need.

Sometimes prepaid phones can work out.

It was a WIND deal offered over the Christmas break.. The Holiday Miracle plan lol

Sure the network might not be all that great, but for $40 it doesn't bother me at all. Although I'm only a student so I don't venture much outside my coverage area. Mobilicity and WIND both have similar deals right now but $45 and "no tethering" (Mobilicity is cheaper though if you pay in advance, or whatever they do).

I did not know Verizon "paid" to keep the Iphone from Tmobile and Sprint. Are you eluding to Apple having the iphone available to the other 2 carriers? That would be an interesting development.

Cricket may have a cheaper plan, just don't expect the phone to work all over the United States. One of my supervisors went to Louisiana for a couple weeks from here in Texas. His phone would not accept or make any calls there, nor could he receive any texts.

Now, my T-Mobile phone works nationwide with no trouble at all.

Not sure why this is news worthy. This is standard pricing for all verizon phones. If you look at T-mo and AT&T. AT&T has the exact same features for the same price. T-mo has a few more minutes for $10 cheaper. Sprint is the only one of the top 4 that has any kind of deal.

HAHAHA ... who cares. Just another junk product from apple.
