Facebook interested in buying Skype?

Facebook interested in buying Skype? Sources have said this week that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been actively speaking to Skype about a potential buyout or a joint venture.
If accurate, the report says Facebook could pay up to $4 billion for the video chat service.

More likely, however, the two companies will tie-up for a new joint venture.

Additionally, Google appears to be interested in a similar venture, as well, and has had "early talks."

Skype only commented to say: "As a practical matter, we avoid commenting on rumor and speculation."

They probably will and Skype is probably the best client I have used for video chat and work.

Skype is good but is often a bit sketchy tetchy... I have just used one provided by Logitech as I bought a new Logitech camera. I found the quality of vid/sound much better but that may be because it isn't so strongly used as Skype. Check it out on the Logitech site.

I have VID as I have Logitech's best WebCam, I prefer a global compatibility over a proprietary network so the lose remains the same.
