Google TV headed to Europe in 2012

Google TV headed to Europe in 2012 According to chairman Eric Schmidt, Google is preparing to launch Google TV in Europe in early 2012.
The search giant is looking to expand its Google TV platform, which has floundered in the U.S. thanks to the restrictive nature of the media companies.

Additionally, the company will continue to fund broadcasting content but will not produce any itself.

Says Schmidt:

Just as smartphones sparked a whole new era of innovation for the Internet, we hope Google TV can help do the same for television, creating more value for all.

We’re agnostic when it comes to whether free or paid content models are best. It’s up to content owners to decide if they want to charge, and it’s up to users to decide if they want to pay.

LoL...didn't it fail miserably enough in the US? I am no apple fan...but Apple TV is better, and it only cost 1/3 as much.

Different products, and the Revue is on firesale at $99 too, matching the Apple TV actually.

I got one of those $99 revue's and it's a nice piece of hardware.
Unfortunantly, the software is far too buggy and incomplete.
The thing refuses to play 99% of my video media and it requires DLNA and cannot see network drives unless they are being "served".
But is able to play from a USB stick/HDD so I'm not sure why it requires the DLNA server.
The included browser is ok, but buggy. It should be FULL CHROME, but it is not. There are no bookmarks, ect.

I really like this thing but it is seriously hindered by software issues.
So, Where's my update, Logitech???
