Monster unveils lineup of tablets Monster, the company behind those extremely overpriced HDMI cables and other accessories has launched their own lineup of tablets.
The devices will be sold exclusively at Walmart and will go on sale later this fall.

A 7-inch model will include an IPS capacitive display at 1280x800 resolution, an unspecified dual-core 1.5GHz SoC and 1GB DDR3 RAM.

The device has 16GB internal storage, a microSD slot, and dual 2MP/5MP cameras. For connectivity there is Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and GPS.

Monster also notes that the surface is "non-skid" and will come in eight different colors (pictured below).

The tablet will run on a slightly modified Android 4.1. The company did not reveal anything about their 10.1-inch model.

Great.

They'll offer a $100 tablet for $400 because it's labeled "Monster".

To justify the price the tablet will likely contain internal gold plated circuits resulting in a sharper display, faster response and an improved Android experience. Monster's marketing department are masters in convincing the uneducated public that their products are worth the premium price.

Not just gold plated circuits... it's also ANTI SKID! I can't stand it when my mobile devices skid. Skidding is a problem that has plagued the smartphone industry for years. I for one can't wait to see the skidding epidemic solved. I am eagerly awaiting this product with my cash in hand.
