More movie studio employees caught pirating movies Everybody pirates.
According to new data, it appears even Hollywood studio employees openly download and share unauthorized copies of movies, games and music.

Employees at Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Disney, Sony Pictures and 20th Century Fox have been caught pirating, while at work, while their companies pay the MPAA to fight the file sharers.

The data, which comes from TF and BitTorrent monitoring company Scaneye, shows films and other media being downloaded by users with static IP addresses registered to the major studios.

I think the last title pretty much describes the MPAA,RIAA,DMCA, and their lawyers.

This is just a slap in the face for MPAA & DMCA.

I think it's weird to consider downloading a TV show "pirating". It's already free to watch. Who cares if i download an episode I missed or DVR it or watch it. It's still free.

And the advertisements don't guarantee I'll buy something I actually DVR all shows to fast forward through them anyway so whats the difference? it just MHO calling a TV show torrent pirating makes no sense.

I kind of agree. I download a lot of computer games but only because I like to play with a nonstandard controller. Once I find that they work for me I buy the original game or delete the game if I am not going to purchase it. But unfortunately things are looked at in a black and white manner.

Lately I have noticed that there have been a lot of articles especially on this website dealing with large anti-piracy efforts.

It seems like these undertakings are very large and would require a lot of time, money and other resources in general. I think the companies behind these efforts will eventually have to step back and take a look and realize that these efforts are not as fruitful as they thought they would be.

Just because people are illegally downloading your product does not mean that you are losing out on sales. For example if there are 100 different people downloading a bit torrent, that does not mean that those same 100 people are going to buy your product. In fact, I would suspect of all the people who pirate various items only a small percentage of those people would actually buy the item if pirating it was not available

Russia was communistic on paper and Socialistic in claim but dictatorial in practice. I think the world is totalitarianism. The only difference was that instead of only one person in total charge that was half (orless) attempt to appear to be Congressionally controlled.
Also, I don't go to the movies and will not buy them at Walmart either for more than $1. Most now-a-days movies are not worth watching, downloading or buying. Take for instance the latest Batman junk. Don't asked who or how do you know about the Batman junk.
