The much sought after web mirror tool which is also capable of recording video streams. This excellent piece of software is extremely hard to find nowadays.

On 1st of January, 2006, a new copyright legislation came into force in Finland that made it illegal to distribute tools that allow circumvention of technical copy protections. This is just the program I was looking for! There are some "no rewind" issues in some file formats, but no biggie. Also, some streams are recalcitrant about being ripped, yet I have been able to get most of what I want. I am still experimenting with converting file formats and determining what plays in what player. I have already got so many GREAT recordings with it that I couldn't be happier! Thanks!!

of course it can record streamed video. the only problem is you cannot forward/rewind the recorded video. maybe it is my problem, not the software's problem

I first discovered this when I was looking to rip a trailer from quicktime, and I've been using it ever since. It's the only thing I know of that actually does what many other programs boast of doing, namely saving audio & video streams. I'm hugely impressed by this software.
