im reposting this cause i dont think the 1st post went through if it did i apolagize.RUDDFAN,did u open the files from the video ts folder?also im sure we all have the same version of shrink 3.2?and what error message are you getting?one last thing you might want to redownload dvd shrink sometimes when you do a disc check it throws away files that are corrupted,well once it through away one of my files from dvd shrink and it would not work right until i uninstalled it and reinstalled it so that might help.i know its a pain,but i dont understand why it worked for me and not you

i TRIED THIS www.dvdidle.net/free.htm PROGRAM. It worked for stealt but not madagascar. Do you have any suggestions why. I can get it to download but when I try to shrink it with dvd shrink It comes up with the same error...Help please I really like the movie

This is perhaps the best rip tool around. Using PSL2 files you can rip the Sony ARccOS protected discs made after the last release of this utility. If you're a tech-geek and love using a few tools to do a single rip, it's great. For those having a lot of problems, do a net search for: DVD Decrypter PSL2

There you should find some fine articles by Cynthia that explains how to use PSL2 by importing them into DVD Decrypter. Problem solved!

also i use dvd x copy platinum,you know the one that was banned it also works on some dvds that shrink nor decrypter will do,but i recommend trying that link i gave b4 seens how it was just updated in octobor and worked fine for me.

dvd decrypter is almost outta resources seens how it hasnt been updated since last summer,i too had problems with stealth and madacascar,dvd shrink nor dvd decrypter work.but you can download a free version of dvdfab at www.dvdidle.net/free.htm .it works like dvd decrypter i dont know how good it is but it did decrypt stealth and madagascar,like i said only used it twice lastnight but i will decrypt those two movies,last time it was updated was this october.both movies burned fine after running the files through dvd shrink and nero.

Ok this is officially my first time using this software so im not sure what to do ... i followed the instructions and it seems to work but when i tried to decrypt the movie Stealth it was able to decrypt all except file E 02:21:25 Failed to decrypt VTS_01_1.VOB!
and i clicked retry but the same message came up again. so i ignored it and it successfully decrypted the rest of the movie but when i tried to use DVD shrink it couldnt find the file above and so it wouldnt continue ... can anyone help me

This is a great software, but it seems it has met it's match with the new DVD disc that Dreamworks Madagascar is on. It will allow you to decrypt,but when you attempt to use the shrink it say there is an error with the first large (vob_8_01) file & will not load. It seem to be some kind of audio descrepancy trickery, cause when it open vob_8_01 it is the only file that you ONLY see but not HEAR. All of the other vob fileS has the sound to them. This is my first review post so I don't know if this actually belongs here......& just FYI dvd-fab could not override the Madagascar disc neither......If there's an answer out here I'd like to be informed,thanks the newbie

jah2k5, it should copy madagascar just fine. Just download dvd shrink again. do a full disc back up and you should be just fine. And use Nero to burn the dvd..

Burned my first DVD using the REAUTHOR feature to edit out commercials from a one hour show. It features the ability of the user to compile multiple show segments minus the commercials of course. This is done by right click the title and setting a segment start time and then an end time the control are pretty accurate down to a frame or two. This adds the marked area to a descending list of show segments. After the first segment the same is done the same way by using the play controls which are similiar to a VCRs' search controls for all following segments. Afterwards, one only has to click on the BURN TO DISK button and the program starts the process and prompts the user to insert a blank disk and the software dubs the marked segments at hign speed (mine copied at 8X and took just under 9 minutes to complete. Bad thing is menus don't transfer and out of two shows on the original DVD only one show was visible by the software for editing. The copy played okay on my Liteon 5005, but the originl 5 minute chapters were gone and only two out of 5 new chapters created by the software were addressable by my DVD player. I may use this cool feature to edit down my network recorded movies to dump all of the commercials in the future. Some features I have not tried yet but over the program is real nice overall.

Takes a little time to figure out but pretty straight forward application ....... I wish the author would get together with the DVD shrink author and have an option to intergrate the two ...... I wouldn't be able to burn dvd's without DVD decryter and DVD shrink ... and don't forget Nero! :-)

After downloading 34 (yes � thirty four) programmes from Tucows, and trying them all, none worked as I wished. I came across DVD Shrink via eBay quite accidentally, and thus to DVD Decrypter through Afterdawn. Both programmes together achieved exactly what was required. I doff my cap to the people who created both, and would like to say a big THANKYOU.
If BeiGott wishes to pay 39 dollars for a program, so well and good, but DVD decrypter is absolutely brilliant, and best of all it is FREE.

I don't understand this media hype? This is a nice tool but not more or less. I prefered AnyDVD (Slysoft).
This program rips the cd or dvd "on the fly". No special settings are needed.

So test it! It's your choice.

This program is the king of DVD rippers.
You can do anything you want, from just ripping the DVD files to making an ISO out of a DVD and then burn it. Yes, you heard good, it also includes a burner that can burn any ISO file.
Also if you change the settings, in the I/O tab and select Ignore Read Errors and set Read Error Retries to 0 you can save many not working DVDs.
And the best of all? This program is 100% free!

opps, I rated DVD Decrypter last post, I meant to rate DVD FAB Decrypter. I used it for XXX2 and it worked perfect. It works great. Also explains why the how to looks different. One question though? Is DVDFAB faster or slower then the original DVD Decrypter . It takes me about an hour total to copy to HD and then with Nero to burn with DVDFAB.

After all the problems I keep having with ANYDVD, I decided to give this program a try. All I can say is WOW!!! What a great program, period. The best I have used. It may take longer to back up your movie, but it will unscramble anything I try with it. PS> The how to section for this program is not the same as the program I just downloaded from the link. I think my version must be newer then the one shown. Thanks to whomever made this one.

I really hate to rate a product until I can fully evaluate it but it seemed to install fine. I allowed it to run its course on a presentation DVD I use for my Company. I wanted to burn a copy directly to the my C drive so I would not have to shorten my battery life on my notebook. It appeared to run through fine however all I got were segments not the stream video I was hopeing for.
Where does it save to by default perhaps I am lloking at an earlier attempt?

My DVD player has a hard time playing DVDs encrypted with marcomedia protection...the video stutters. DVD decrypter have saved me having to return these "defective " DVDs to the store where I purchased or rented them. I hope this software remains available on this site.

I dont understand the big problem , with the whole spectrum of why this software from what i have herd has been shut down from downloading ! Oh people have been going to local video stores and making their own dvd with it , Or people spend an average of 25 bucks for a dvd and bring it in the car or truck for the kids to watch and then eventualy get ruined from being dropped or scratched to hell , So we make copies of the dvd so we could back up our own dvds so we dont ruin the original , You go to the music store and purchase a cd and back it up one for the car one from home , Thats okay ,why is it okay its the same dam principal i dont see it or understand why its such a problem , Okay now we all have either satalite or cable service and we all use that tevo or what ever the hell they call it , and then record a movie when we arent going to be home and watch it when ever we want ! and then take that and make a dvd with it WITH STORE BOUGHT COMPUTER PROGRAMS AND GREAT VIDEO CARDS HMMM THATS OKAY I GUESS BECAUSE YOU CANT SHUT DOWN ALL THE VIDEO CARD COMPANIES THEY ARE WAY TO BIG TO TACKLE , its the same freagin thing ! isnt it YOU RENT THE VIDEO WITH YOUR CABLE PROVIDER OR SATALITE PROVIDER AND BACK IT UP TO DVD BUT THATS OKAY ! So some guy out on the internet developed a program that has more that one function and makes people exteremly happy and love the program , Lets take him down , ahhhhhhhhhhhhh B.S....... I understand the whole marketing thing behind the scenes , if people rent a dvd they will copy it and then never purchase the original dvd , Well that makes sence , a lot of money is going to be lost, Now if the indiviual that does copy the dvd tries to sell it and make money off of it , Then hang him Buy his head and that seems to grant a punishment , But for people whom back up their store bought dvds so they could have an original for home that will last a life time and one for the car or truck that could get ruined and not care about it getting scratched , That doesnt seem to be so bad does it , well People i dont know what to say , And i would most likely try to contribute to legalize this program and its purpose and function ,

I use DVD Decrypter almost every working day. Mainly to extract videos from DVDs for editing as well as making backups. It beats the rest of my paid dvd making software. I love the concept of a full featured free software without any time limit. But I felt so grateful that I made a donation. The programmer deserves it.

I've been using dvd decrypter for 5 months now, and i was sad when i found out lightning uk had been forced to close the site and stop development on this awesome tool.
I must have made at least 50 copies with it in these few months, and it only mucked up once, which was because of a defective dvd, rather then a program error.
I have to agree with XweAponX that this was, and is, one of the best dvd and video game backup tools there is.
I hope lightning uk will find a way to continue his great work.

This program had MANY uses, it was NOT "just" a program that removed that DAMNED Macrovision protection from DVD's and whatever other guk the developers shove on there to make our 20-dollar DVD purchases WORTHLESS. DVD-Decrypter actually enabled us to make ANY kind of CD or DVD backup of our very valuable irreplacable software so that we never fear making our MUCH needed backups.

It's such a shame that greed causes so much destuction. A believe that so long as the wealthy few remain so oppressive, an underground movement will exist, helping each other. So sad that we all can't get along and that some just want to put down everyone else so that can live at the top of the world.

DVD Decrypter is awesome. It will remain in my folder of essential tools so long as it remains functional. Even if the video formats change so much as to render it non-functional, I'm sure I will retain some archived copies on cd to preserve it's place in our digital history. It will never be forgotten!

I just heard it is being discontinued. I find it amazing that the movie industry has this kind of a monopoly. I used it to copy my DVD's to bring in the car. I'd rather the kids destroy a backup copy then the original. I think it is completely unfair that this is considered illegal.

Product is great - I would contribute to a legal fund to fight the movie industry.

I love this program. It is so simplistic and easy...Even a Neewbee to burning games can get it. Where it shines is so great, that, it overlaps some TINY flaws. One flaw is that it won't rip some games. Even after the lens has been cleaned, the disc has been cleaned, and your computers been restarted, it still wont burn SOME games. I've used DVD Decryptor all of my 'game burning' life, and haven't had a huge problem I couldn't work around yet. Othere then that, I would recomend DVD Decryptor to ANYONE. In fact, I already have!

still the film can not be copied on a 4,7 DVD disc, anyhow
it decomposes the hidden contents of almost all DVDs which is a very good subject and it can even burn a small DVD (4,7 Gbytes)with the help of Nero Prog. or may be others

DVD Decrypter v3.2.2.0

I have been using this piece of software for quite some time. Does a superb job at getting done what it was designed to do. Kudos to the developers!

I bought DVD X-Copy Gold but this is a much better ripper. X-Copy had failed me many times because of software incompatability. DVD Decrypter has NEVER failed me. Beautiful program. Please try it!

Great program!! Easy to use. I spent $40 on 'DVD X Copy Express' and was never able to get it to work. Wish I had known about this program before wasting my money on X Copy.

i love this program. it's wonderful. makes great copies for my backup's. I have kids that don't take care of them sometimes and using the backup copy instead of the original is great.

Cool!! I can make a copy Full DVD-movies include menu and everything exactly same original disc
Other program that have to buy ,can't do like this. The most importance this program is free. If you plan to buy NEO or DVD-X copy stop! and send them money will be better.

It does everything it claims, plus it's free. What's not to love. The combination of DVD DECRYPTER and DVD Shrink (also free) can copy nearly any DVD. Why use anything else?

This program is the king of DVD rippers.
You can do anything you want, from just ripping the DVD files to making an ISO out of a DVD and then burn it. Yes, you heard good, it also includes a burner that can burn any ISO file.
Also if you change the settings, in the I/O tab and select Ignore Read Errors and set Read Error Retries to 0 you can save many not working DVDs.
And the best of all? This program is 100% free!
