If you are going to use a P2P program, use Frostwire. It is free and open source. Why pay for the use of a crappy program that is crap to start with. Sorry, nothing good to say about Limewire.

It's not that i don;t think Limewire works well but there's no privacy or security. it's like doing a crime in broad daylight with 30 feds watching. Nah, i'll stick with my Newsgroup servers with 256bit encryption. Newsgroups companies also wipe your tracks every 24 hours, at least most of them do. Word to the wise don't download without encrypting your transfer. Stay away from MySpace Feds like to crawl around that area also and don't say anything important or illegal on your messenger those are watched also.

It's working great for us on xp sp3. Once you have firewall's in place cant see a prob as for the fbi and the content's of person's pc well that's the law . The update works a big thank to all the team's that worked on it.

Garbage, not even worth the download. there are better things than this. if you must have the Magnet Network there is azures(think i spelled it right?). it supports all major p2p networks.

I would avoid Limewire at ALL COSTS. It is not only infected with virii, but is crawling with FBI. Download a vid cp by accident? Go to jail. if you know what you are downloading, and know how to tell which ones are viruses then you will have no problem. i have been using it for months and have had no problem, but i also have norton internet security and everything i downlosd goes through it and it will tell me what is wrong with my computer. the most annoying thing that happens to me is that it will take a long time to download, and/or it will say "file currupted."

if you wake up in the morning and think, you are an onion then download limewire. you would have to be mad to use limewire. you will need to re adjust all the settings and restict the uploads or when you start downloading it will slow to a crawl. its riddled with spyware and trojans. do not download any quicktime files as they are usually viruses. it dosent have its own media player it simply plugs into your media player. its parental settings are useless and any film you download will be porn. avoid like the plague...

My name is Logan2057, and I've been using LimeWire for some time now for the simple fact there IS NO SPYWARE INSTALLED!! I'm tired of people saying that they've gotten a virus by installing the program. Where they are getting the virus is more than likely from the fact that their av programs aren't up to date and they are using LimeWire to download programs which can be viruses, or trojans in disguise. KaZaA was famous for installed spyware as is bearshare and I refuse to use either for that very reason. So for those of you who can't or won't look at the programs you are downloading, scan them when they come in, BEFORE you open them or click on ANY installers, then you deserve what you get.

DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE! It comes with its own built in spyware. However if you still feel the need to use this style of p2p use FROSTWIRE. Its the same program with the spyware removed. Note...you still must be wary of files you download.

Only use this for music, I'd never use Limewire for programs etc because 9 out of 10 it's a virus. Limewire is very usefull when looking for music, also make sure you look at the file size before downloading.

are you kidding me? simply put ..download this ..then search for limewire pro ..and download that ..then it automatically replaces the basic version. the only reason you got a virus is because you were too "tarded" to look at the file size before downloading. A song is at least 4mb ..not 157kb which you d/l and got a virus goofball. make sure you click the file size tab ..to put the biggest files on top. Winmx is still much better for music ..but i've found that for most mainstream progs ... limewire kicks ass.

Not a review just a comment. Spyware for me? Thank you Limewire! There weren't enough threats out there before you. So nice to use a client who will f* me over. Who cares less about p2p and only about sponsors. The only sites thats should be prosecuted are YOUR kind! You are a disgrace. Luckily, I knew about you when you launched and never went close. Stay away and stop downloads if you use this client! That's what this forum is for right? To let people know what there getting into?!?
