DVDIdle Pro combines the functions of DVD Region Free and DVDIdle in a one, efficient package. It makes your RPC2 DVD-drive region free and extends its lifetime by caching the contents while reading.

About DVD Region Free:
DVD Region-Free enables you to watch all region DVDs on your region-locked (RPC2) DVD drive. It will work, even if you cannot change the DVD drive's region and does not require any firmware modifications.

In addition, the program can also disable region check for software-based DVD players and offers built-in support for PowerDVD, WinDVD, ATI DVD Player, DirectDVD, NVDVD, CinePlayer, Windows Media Player, PCFriendly Player, InterActual Player and TheaterTek DVD. You can manually add additional players to the list.

Other features include Region-Free for RCE DVDs, Macrovision-Free, Operation-Free and Direct-Play of the main title.

About DVDIdle:
DVDIdle extends the life-time of your DVD-drive and DVD-movies by caching DVD-contents. It uses either the system memory or hard-disk drive to read ahead data and feeds it to the software DVD-player. That way the disc spins only for a short while when data is read.

The benefits are clear -- there's less mechanical wear on both the disc and the drive, and the noise while watching the movie diminishes a great deal. DVDIlde also considerably lowers the battery consumption on a laptop computer when watching a DVD-movie.

I was not happy with this program as it takes forever when you start the disc up, it was also herky when playing and I have a very fast computer. Try the demo but seriously think about buying it, try AnyDVD instead if you need region free... and that's my two cents

Great Product. It extends the life of my two DVD drives and it supports a lot of software. The functionality of the software is excellent. Would recomend to everybody I know.
