SlySoft releases CloneDVD v2.9.0.8 (stable) SlySoft has released a new stable version of its mega-popular (Elby produced) DVD backup software, CloneDVD v2.9.0.8. CloneDVD is an easy to use, wizard-driven DVD-9 to DVDR backup software. It is capable of backing up either the complete DVD including all the chapters, extras, and menus, or just the selected titles. If necessary, CloneDVD will compress the video content to fit a single, 4.3 gigabyte DVD-R.
The company recommends that CloneDVD be used in conjunction with its AnyDVD application, which removes copy protection from the DVD on-the-fly in the background once installed and running. Here is the short changelog for CloneDVD v2.9.0.8.
  • New: Files created can always be compressed using DVD Shrink or Nero Recode (CloneDVD2 can be used as a preprocessor to deselect unwanted titles or streams)
  • Change: Workaround for registration problem on Windows Vista
  • Change: ElbyCDIO updated to increase compatibility with Vista

I love this program. I got 2.9.0.3 and it works great with Vista. They are always a step ahead of the rest. Keep up the good work :)
