BlockingBlocking is a noticeable artifact that appears on a video stream. The macroblocks which make up the picture become visible when the MPEG decoder fails to receive enough data to build the detail within the macroblock. This caused most often by a bitrate that is too low for the video content (fast moving, action scenes etc.).
