(synonyms: Hardcoded Subtitles)

Open Captions are Captions that are permanently displayed and are not an optional feature like Closed Captions. Captions are textual representations of audio. It suits the hearing impaired by not just displaying dialog but also describing other sounds to be heard from the audio.
