Warez

The term Warez is generally used online to describe pirated content. Most commonly, warez applies to hacked software that can be downloaded for free. To beat copy protection mechanisms or registration requirements, this software often comes with cracks, serial numbers or key generators. Warez also applies to any other content subject to copyright protection that is pirated online. Warez groups are responsible for the vast majority of this content, whether it is software, games, movies, console games, music or e-books.

In most countries, downloading and sharing this type of content is illegal and can result in lawsuits or even prosecution. However, warez use has become so widespread that usually jail time is reserved for those found selling content or distributing it on a large scale.

Thank God for the Warez people! Most progams are so expensive and inscrutable, that there is no way by which ordinary old, poor folks like me can access and familarize ourselves with software, unless we have it for free for a time longer than what the trials provide. Try buying a $500 picture management program, only to discover after three months that it is too bulky, dominant and unwieldable, and another, better program can be had for $ 29 - then You become a customer to Warez. (Good protection is, of course necessary to download from many of these sites).

True stuff, trials work but too limited, i use it until i get a feel for the program(30-60 days which you can do with trial but it's too limited...) then i dicide if i want to buy it or delete it.
